Illegal leakage of Facebook data threaten us

Some of the information that leaked from the leading phone number, gender, job, state and marital status exists if it exists on 533 million users who inevitably view attention to Facebook or social media in general.

The news of the leak of big data on Facebook was of great importance on the global level, and just as information leaked from Facebook, information was also leaked from YouTube and many social applications, including Snapchat, Instagram and others.

In the beginning of 2020, there was a loophole on Facebook and a large amount of data leaked, and the question remains where did the latter go?

This information was previously circulating on the Dark Web, but now it was made publicly available for sale, according to the state, on one of Google's sites by an illegal hacker.

The question now is, what will the person benefit from this information?

This information is used for advertising and paid advertisements, as well as fraud and theft, unfortunately many hackers and illegal people use this private information to steal and deceive the pioneers of social networking sites.

There are two types

1- The first type is direct, such as the emergence of an email or text message with impersonating someone to ask for help, and it is usually financial.

2 - Now if we move to the more dangerous aspect, which is social engineering, where there will be more than one person planning to get you into a trap by mentioning how many things have happened to you. Then this leaked information will serve as an aid to them to find out more details about you, your phone numbers and your friends list, and there are many other ways, the first of which is not to trust something on the Internet.

What should you do about Facebook?

Try to renew your data and passwords and activate the two-factor authentication because this is not the main purpose that was leaked, but rather our privacy is extremely important.
